The apps
This policy covers both of our apps: CyberDeck for Companion and DeckHand for CyberDeck.
Both apps run on your device and talk to Bitfocus Companion over your local network. Neither app sends any data to Upload Studio Ltd, Apple, or any third party in the course of operating. There are no analytics inside the apps. There are no accounts. There is no cloud sync.
CyberDeck: your saved connections, dashboards, and surface preferences live on your device only.
DeckHand: paired roles live on your device only. Pairing talks directly to your tech lead's device over the local network using Apple's peer-to-peer networking. The camera is used only to scan a pairing QR code; frames are processed on the device and immediately discarded, never stored or uploaded.
The website
This website uses Umami (a self-hosted, cookie-free analytics tool) to understand which pages get traffic. Umami records page URLs, anonymized referrers, screen size, and a few basic device properties. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint, and does not see your IP address (it's hashed before storage).
Support and beta forms
When you submit the support form on the help page or the beta request form on the beta page, the submission is processed by Web3Forms (a third-party form-handling service) and emailed to Upload Studio Ltd. Web3Forms sees the form fields you submitted, the originating IP address, and standard HTTP request metadata. Their privacy policy is at web3forms.com/privacy.
To prevent abuse, this site stores a short timestamp in your browser's local storage when you submit a form, so the form can't be resubmitted again immediately. The timestamp contains no personal data, isn't sent anywhere, and isn't used to identify or track you.
