2.2.0 is mostly about the connection rail telling you the truth, plus a sharpness fix on iPad.
- The rail says what's happening. It now says "Connecting…" while an initial connect is still retrying, and "Unsupported" when Companion is too old to talk to. A too-old Companion re-probes silently, with no loud Reconnecting band for it.
- Honest resting states. The spinner only spins for a dial that's actually in flight. A disconnected surface looks disconnected. The version-too-old screen has a Retry that works, replacing a Disconnect button that led nowhere.
- Sharp cells on iPad. The main surface registers at 144px, and dashboards ask Companion for high-res bitmaps, so large cells and sparse tiles stop looking soft (#415).
- The Satellite port is out of your way. It's behind an Advanced disclosure in the connection editor now. Editor fields are labeled properly too (#420).
- Restore re-scans entitlements, so a grandfathered unlock sticks.
- Dashboard fix: inserting a dashboard before populating its items (#430).
- Cosmetic: a button press shows a local white outline only; the launch screen is pinned dark.
Companion 4.3+ required. iOS / iPadOS 17 or later.
