DeckHand for CyberDeck is on the App Store. It's the app you hand to the person actually running the show.
There is no admin UI in it. No connection editor, no page navigation, nothing to misconfigure mid-show. It shows the role a tech lead published from CyberDeck (Pro), and the variables that role allows them to edit. That's the whole app.
- Run a published role. The buttons your job needs, live, with real button state from Companion. Presses go straight back over the LAN.
- Edit the show values you're allowed to. Toggles, pickers, text, numbers, whatever the role exposes. Nothing it doesn't.
- Pair by QR code, or by a 6-character code when the camera can't reach it. No accounts, no cloud.
- Roles update when your tech lead republishes. You don't re-pair.
- When something's wrong, it says what. A Companion that's too old, or subscriptions turned off on the tech lead's machine, get named on screen rather than showing you an empty grid.
Before you buy it
DeckHand does nothing on its own. It needs a tech lead running CyberDeck (Pro) 2.3 or newer on their own device, plus Bitfocus Companion 4.3+ on the production's control computer with both the Button Subscriptions API and the HTTP API turned on. An operator who buys DeckHand without any of that has bought something inert. If your production doesn't run CyberDeck yet, start there.

iPad, iPadOS 17 or later. 1.0 is iPad only. An iPhone build is planned for 1.1.
